  1. The WWF held a tounament to crown the first ever European Champion, with the finals held on 26/02/97 in Germany. Here are the results of the tournament :

  2. At the time of the final match of the tournament, The British Bulldog and Owen Hart were the reigning WWF Tag Team Champions.

  3. On 20/01/98, Shawn Micahels was forced to defend the European title against fellow DX member, Hunter Hearst Helmsley. He then intentionally lost the title to Helmsley.

  4. On 20/01/98, Owen Hart beat Goldust, who was dressed like Hunter Hearst Helmsley, to win the title. WWF Commissioner, Sgt Slaughter, allowed the decision to stand by claiming that Goldust was substituting for Helmsley.

  5. On 15/02/99, Shane McMahon & Kane beat X-Pac & Hunter Hearst Helmsley, for Shane to win the title.
