REMARKS :
  1. When the Worldwide Wrestling Federation was formed in 1963, the WWWF Tag Team Title was known as the United States Tag Team Title until 1967, when Bruno Sammartino was unable to defend both his US Tag Team Title and the WWWF Heavyweight Title and the title was declared vacant.

  2. From 1969 to 1971, the title became known as the WWWF International Tag Team Title.

  3. In late-1971, it became known as the WWWF World Tag Team Title.

  4. On 26/11/60 in Washington, DC, Buddy Rogers left his tag team partner Johnny Valentine and the titles so Valentine chose Chief Big Heart as his tag team partner only to lose the title to Al Costello and Ray Heffernan.

  5. In June 1967, Antonio Pugliese left the United States so Sprios Arion chose Arnold Skaaland as his Championship tag team partner but on 10/07/67 in Atlantic City, NJ, they lost the title to Lou Albano and Tony Altimore.

  6. On 10 August 1998, Kane & Mankind won a Four-Way Tag Match on RAW to win the titles. They beat "Stone Cold" Steve Austin & the Undertaker, Rocky Maivia & D-Lo Brown, and the New Age Outlaws.

  7. On 30/08/98, the New Age Outlaws beat Mankind in a no-DQ, falls-count anywhere, handicap match when his partner Kane abandoned him.
